Atlantic City Tropicana 2015 Big Plans

Exciting New Renovation Plans
for Tropicana Casino and Resort in Atlantic City

Atlantic City Tropicana

The year of 2014 was not the brightest one in Atlantic City’s history. Following bankruptcy, four of the twelve casinos were shutdown leaving 8000 people unemployed. The closure caused somewhat of a chain reaction, and the city had to lay off 10,000 employees in total. The times were bleak and it looked like the end of an empire. Thankfully 2014 has ended and things have begun to look bright once again. The word on the street is that CRDA has approved Atlantic City Tropicana Resort’s expansion and renovation for $35 million!

Changes to Look Forward to in Atlantic City Tropicana Casino and Resort

The $35 million Atlantic City Tropicana makeover is supposed to give the complex a brand new look. The number of guest rooms in the North Tower will be upgraded to 434, old rooms will be redecorated, a new health club will be built, retail attractions will be added and a 3D light show will be projected on Atlantic City Tropicana Resort boardwalk facade.

Whether it is fine dining, boogie nights, family parties or a risky round of gambling, no one can deny the popularity of Atlantic City Tropicana Casino and Resort. The complex is the best place to hang out in the resort city. The luxury destination is situated on Brighton Avenue in Atlantic City, New Jersey, right in front of the beach and the famous Boardwalk. Currently, there are 2,079 accommodations in the hotel, a 200,000 square foot entertainment complex known as The Quarter, 24 restaurants, 25 shops, 18 bars and lounges, 2 swimming pools, the city’s only movie theater (an IMAX Theater), and a spa.

Atlantic City Tropicana New Fitness Center – AtlantiCare LifeCenter

Atlantic City Tropicana Casino and Resort has teamed up with AtlantiCare LifeCenter to launch a new two story health club. For the first time in the history, the Atlantic City Tropicana entertainment complex will see a ‘healthy’ inclusion. According to a press release, Atlantic City Tropicana Casino and Resort is planning to open the fitness center to the public in May 2015. The 12,455 square foot facility will feature high end fitness equipment for all sorts of weight loss programs, various types of classes that will range from aerobic and yoga to Zumba and Tai Chi, three extra rooms for wellness classes and deluxe locker rooms with saunas and showers. The staff of AtlantiCare will consist of certified fitness professionals and customer service representatives.

Refurbishment of Hotel’s Rooms in the North Tower

As part of the renovation program, all the rooms in the North Tower will be remodeled with a contemporary decor, new lighting system and spacious bathrooms. Furthermore, there is a 10,000 square feet of underused space in Atlantic City Tropicana complex which will be refurbished for retail attractions.

Jazzing up the Facade of Atlantic City Tropicana Boardwalk

Another exciting part of the renovation will be the amazing new display of Tropicana’s Boardwalk. The 3D lighting and sound systems will have fifteen high definition 17 feet high screens that will strobe around the sky and the city.

According to CRDA Executive Director John Palmieri, the remodeling program and addition of more non-gambling attractions in Atlantic City Tropicana will tempt tourists to visit the city. The project is funded by Atlantic City Tropicana Corporation and the Casino Reinvestment Development Authority. 2015 is looking good for Atlantic City, especially for Atlantic City Tropicana Casino and Resort!
