This hotel was no different than it was many year ago as Bally's Grand. The rooms are starting to look old and dated. The light in the bathroom was falling down and the smoke alarm went off as soon as you opened the bathroom door after a shower. The Casino is just ok. The hotel has no drawing features. No club or nightlife of any type. The band only played until about midnight and then that was it. There was nothing else going on all night.

It was extremely hot in our room. We waited an hour for someone to fix it. The pool was closed at eight, oftly early with a hot room. I waited in line for over 45 minutes to check in and waited at least that in the casino for a drink. My stay at your hotel was not very good, I won't recommend it to anyone and won't stay here again. Although the meal was good at the buffet, the waiter was so busy talking to his friends my drink didn't get filled. In conclussion I won't be back.

Overall our visit was pretty good. It was our first real getaway with each other and despite the snow storm we still managed to have a good time. The worst thing about this hotel would have to be the wait time to check in. We were only supposed to stay one night so the first night we waited 2 hours for our room and because of the snow we had to get another room the following night and the wait time for that was about an hour and a half. In the summer that would be more understandable but not in the middle of the winter when the casino/hotel is nearly empty. Overall the rooms were nice, especially the room we had the first night. I would definitely stay there again!

It was a great stay, but should have a microwave in the rooms. I did not like that my 5 year old daughter accidentally stepped over the line near the casino and two security guards ran to her not the parents and talked to her like she was an adult. She is a five year old little girl and does not know what a casino is. Do not treat little kids like they are adults if you want adults to come with their families. It made her cry is there a way you can make that better? Please let me know.

After almost a 4 hour drive, we were not very happy to be standing in line almost 20 minutes, while all attention was given to Elite customers. It made us feel as though we were not considered important enough to the check in clerks. They even seemed oblivious to us standing there.One reason we booked the Hilton was the highly recommended restaurants in the hotel. We were really disappointed when we found "The Oaks" and one other restaurant closed. The food at the Cornucopia Buffet was sub par, especially for the price. We ate most of our meals at establishments along the Boardwalk. The room was pretty spacious, and while the bed was huge, we found it very uncomfortable. The service staff (other than the aforementioned clerks),was pretty good. There could have been more information about the parking rates and transportation options available.

My daughter suggested this hotel, she prefers Hilton. I was shocked how I was treated on my way out of the hotel at the parking lot by a man named "Jim", he was rude just because I had forgot my slip & instead I showed him the hotel paid in fulled statement. He was mean, rude and not once did he say hello, someone who obviously hates working there. Pfft, getting xtra towels was also greeted w/someone not happy and rude.

The hotel and rooms look nice. However, we were traveling with two little ones and booked rooms based on the available cable service for kids cartoon channels. On the second night the cable went out and we were told that it would not be available until next the day. It was raining outside and there was nothing to do for kids in the lobby and no kids channels. The restaurant's food was horrible horrible(fast food would have tasted much better). My omelet with just bacon and sausage was $13- plus is was not your typical omelet. It was simply scramble eggs mixed with bacon and sausage. My kids' pancakes(2) cost $6 each and it tasted like uncooked flour. I figured it was a casino and they were banking on the comps that players would get so therefore jack up the price, but there was no excuse for the horrible food especially for 3-4 star hotel. The services were not genuine. There was nothing in the information book other than a room service menu.

There was a lot of problems with check-in, the computers were down and down again when we had to check out. The staff were less than helpful. The hotel itself is too isolated from the main flow of people.There were not enough restaurants. I was pleased however with room service and the way my room was kept. It was to be a romantic getaway but there was nothing there to make me think of romance.I sincerely doubt if I would come back.

Stayed in the Atlantic City Hilton and was not satisfied. The check in was the worst I have ever seen. Long lines of people waiting to be checked in only two(2) workers behind desk. Room was not ready when they said it would be ( had to come back 3 different times). When gambling was not able to get a bottle of beer, only a small 8oz glass. When playing bar poker was charged for drinks. I played at other hotels always got free drinks. Never again and I am a Hilton club owner and enrolled in Hilton Honors

I was disappointed for the following reasons:
Way too old (the guests)
Rooms need to be brought into year 2008 not 1978 (bedspreads, Hairdryers, furniture)
Pool very small for the size of the room
Complicated rules for buffet, need a card to get discount??!!! then way too long a line up to reserve.
No one able to explain how things work for the card
My girlfriend in room 1251 called 3 times to get her hairdryer fixed (the tube was melted) until I went to complain on the second to last day.
In my room 1432 we had ripped bedspread and the chairs were so old they had no life in the cushion.
The bed pillows were rock hard.
The towels were rough and small (bath ones)
It was very expensive for what I expected the name HILTON to represent. I did not mind paying the money but I had much higher expectations.
I don't think it is family oriented at all. No menus for children and very expensive meals for people with children.No activities for kids for indoors (on a rainy day!) Maybe put in an arcade, playroom for littles ones, include video games or DVD's)
Unfortunately I would not return there. I would only recommend this place to my grandmother!!!

We haven't been to A/C in over 10 years and was very pleasantly surprised in the improvements of the hotels, casinos, boardwalk, beaches and surrounding area. The beach and boardwalk was great fun for our two young kids, but the Hilton restaurants and hotel was not kid friendly. No activities for kids and the video game area was very small. All their restaurants did not cater to children and did not have a kids menu. Although we had a great time at Atlantic City, we'll probably book at another hotel on our next visit. Also, we called the hotel to make a reservation and was told no rooms were available, but the web site AtlanticCity.com had rooms available at reasonable rates.

Check in was not very informative. I was supposed to be given 2 tickets for a show. Which I never received. Nor my parking voucher.This meant that I had to wait in line again during a busy check in time in order not to pay for parking A second time. Everything was ok after that. Although I couldn't believe there was a charge to use the gym. Most hotels include use of the gym for free. I could see the spa being charged for but not the gym.

I had a major problem with this hotel. As we were getting ready to leave at 8:00 AM on July 18, 2008, the safe would not open. I called the front desk, advised them of the problem and told them that my wife and I both needed to leave immediately since we both had to get to work.
They told me that they would notify security and that someone would be in my room in "minutes" to unlock the safe. I waited fifteen minutes (8:15). Nobody arrived. I then called security, repeated what I had told the front desk and told them that, at 8:00, I was told the problem would be resolved in "minutes." They assured me that someone would be in my room in a few minutes. I waited another five minutes (8:20). Nobody arrived. I called security again and was told that someone was already on my floor. I waited another two minutes. I called again and was told that they would call security again.
A couple of minutes later, a man from security arrived and told us that he could not open the safe, because he had to wait for the locksmith. The locksmith did not arrive until about 8:40.
I wish to add that until my last call to security, I spoke very nicely and calmly. The last time I called, I spoke more aggressively. I guess that's what it takes to get service. This should not the case.
I have stayed in numerous hotels in Atlantic City and through out the world and have never been unable to unlock my safe. However, I understand that something like this can happen. However, the delay in service was inexcusable. As a result, my wife and I were both late for work. I missed an appointment with a valued client. This should hot have happened.

This hotel is called a Hilton, but don't expect it to be a Hilton. 80-90's look. It is about a 3 scale hotel. Though it is on the beach with a tiki bar, it is not the typical beach atmosphere. It is quite a walk to get down the boardwalk and we ended up taking a taxi to the Taj Mahal. I personally would not stay there again, but if you have kids it would probably work well because you have the beach, casino, spa, and indoor pool. I stayed at this hotel for the beach and casino, not the restaurant. The review tab is not working correctly to select this. Also, the restaurant – Patsy’s is over-rated! It is very expensive, less portions, and not nearly as good as an Olive Garden.
