This was the absolute worst stay of my life. The entire trip was a mess from start to finish. First of all, we were not told when making reservations that rooms would be given out first come first serve, so even though we requested a king sized bed, we were not given one. The room had two full sized beds, not two queen sized beds and so my boyfriend and I who were on vacation together could not even stay in the same bed! We were told to call back the next morning at 10:00 to see if we could move rooms to one with a king bed. When we called, we were told that there were no king beds available. When I got angry, magically a room with a king bed became available. I was told the room would be held for me and to come to the desk at 2:00 that afternoon. When I called the desk at 2:00 just to double check that the room was ready, I was told the room would not be available until 4:00. We finally switched our room at 4:00 and voiced our complaints to the manager. We also explained to her that we were very upset that the only Italian restaurant in the hotel was closed on a Friday night (one of the busiest nights for casinos). She found us an Italian restaurant in a different hotel for the night and made reservations for us. She also gave us a $50 food comp. Having already made dinner reservations, we decided to use the food comp the next day. The line for the breakfast buffet was way too long for us to wait on and since we were leaving that evening, we decided to save the food comp for lunch. When discussing our dining options, we glanced at the food comp only to notice that it was only good for the day before! So the fact that the manager gave us the food comp was basically a blow off since she knew we were already dining at a different hotel that night, where we could not use the food comp. This was the worst stay ever and although I might return to Atlantic City, it would take a lot of convincing to get me to return to Bally's.
