The Trop is a decent hotel to stay for a night or two. The draw here is the terrific restaurants and the shopping village. The Marketplace was fantastic as well. Staff was nice overall and front desk were very helpful. The rooms were adequate but can use updating. The casino needs a complete overhaul. Some tables are old and stained from years of usage. The dealer for Let it Ride had to keep resetting the table to get the bonus lights on. Also, security appears to be lacking. Sadly, people living on the street outside regularly enter the hotel and dig through garbage, while you're eating nearby. I would consider giving it another try, just for the restaurants alone. However, I may just stay at a more updated casino hotel and take the walk to the Trop for dinner at Carmine's!

I travel to AC at least twice a year. Although I have tried other hotels I find myself longing for Tropicana. To me this hotel has everything I want.
The restaurants are excellent. I've tried most of them. This passed visit I invited my grown children and significant others to experience dinner at Carmine's for my husbands 56th birthday and we had a great time. This was the only time we've been able to finish all the food.(Family style). We also went to the IMAX Theater, and I can't wait to go back. When ever I come down I have to go to my IMAX. The Casino is my husband's favorite, Poker is his game he can spend the whole night at the table. As for me give me the roulette. To finish, I must say that when I spend time in the Quarter's I feel like I am back in my country, Habana Cuba.

I chose the Tropicana as a destination for a romantic getaway with my girlfriend. Found a great rate on the AtlanticCity.com website. Checked in on a Friday for 2 nights. Valet parking was very easy and inexpensive, check-in was very fast. We stayed in the West Tower in a standard room. Halls had some debris and dust, nothing too bad though. Room was reasonably clean. Again, some dust and wear, but that's to be expected. Shopping, IMAX theater, restaurants, and casino were great. No issues with any of that. You can definitely stay here and not have to leave the hotel as there is so much to do. Only issue We had was with the Concierge. We called down to make a reservation for dinner at Ping's Golden Dynasty. When we got down there for out 8:30 reservation, we were told no reservation was ever made. Very disappointing, although were were seating and served anyhow. Great food and service at the restaurant, definitely recommended. Overall, great hotel/casino to stay at. Recommended for anyone looking to getaway, just park and enjoy. Not really recommended for families with children, there is a lot of partying/drinking at all hours of the night in the hotel rooms, which actually made for some pretty noisy nights. But outside of that, would definitely stay again.

Me and my husband enjoyed ourselves during our three day mini vacation. Staff was friendly and the nightlife was fun. We would definitely return again. The only thing I would change is the fact that only two of the four elevators where working during one of the busiest times of the day, check out time. I did like the fact that I was able to check in at another place other than the lobby which can get over crowded during check in.

No need to leave this place the Tropicana casino and Hotel has every thing. Great Casino nice poker room and Amazing resturants. Cuba Libre has the Best Mojitos amazing Cuban food. If you don't know what you would like from a Cuban restaurant they have a great tasting plate on the menu. Great Shopping when the wife can go try on dresses and you can go and play poker its a good time. Might as well buy a dress then lose my money on a table. Everyone Wins!!!

I came here with few friends to celebrate my birthday in Atlantic City. Hotel was excellent and so was the hotel. Would definitely come back here again. Would recommend this hotel to friends and family. Plenty of places to eat and drink in the hotel itself, and casino was a great time. There were smoking and non smoking sections which was good because my friends and i don't smoke. Hotel room was excellent plenty of room nice view of the surrounding area including the beach and board walk.

I do not have any problems with this hotel, however enjoying a walk along the boardwalk is not the most pleasant experience.
My wife and I tried walking the whole length one night because the weather could not have been more beautiful, but you can't walk more then 20 yards without someone asking you for money or trying to get you to go in one of those push carts. This became annoying after a while and we cut our walk short.
I would not recommend walking on the boardwalk after dark.
Stick to walking during the day when it's more crowded and you should be ok. Just ignore the undesirables and be firm with them.

Unfortunately, we stayed in the Havana Tower, which was quite a bit away from the front desk and casino. A lot of walking for my sister, who has trouble walking.

Also, I was disappointed in the casino as most of the slots were penny slots, and I prefer nickle slots.

The rooms was nice, clean and comfortable. There were many restaurants in this hotel, and we especially liked P.F. Changs.

We especially liked that the hotel was on the boardwalk, but was quite far from other casinos.

The hotel was immaculately clean. The staff was very nice. We ate at Carmines, the food was plentiful and very tasty. Also ate at the new Country Kitchen. The food was good. I 'm on diet and they accommodated me with a low fat option. We danced at the Tango bar and Cuba Libre. Music was great. The shops at the Tropicana are first class and you'll find anything you need. I would say that the entire visit was one I will remember.

I visited Noodles Bar with coupon and food was good but service is really bad. I felt like feeding the pet by the staff. This is the only thing made me feel bad.(they were all Asian staff and bad manner)
Some part of casino was really high air conditioned and me and my friend almost get cold. The room maid was very gentle and elegant.
I will come back to stay and try to visit Noodles Bar again to see if there is improvement.

I think that in the smoking rooms there should be windows to open, when someone else smokes and you do not the smoke stays in the room. did not get a chance to check out the pool, it was to cold to go swimming, the view from the hotel was beautiful.We would stay in this hotel again when we come back and would recommend it to our families and friends. I was not happy with the casino because they never checked my card to provide me credit on my Diamond card. I asked the person at the craps table multiple times to check my card, but he did not. As a result I had to pay for parking on my way out of the parking lot. It was just five dollars, but it should have been free being that I spent over $300.00 dollars gambling and did not take a cent of it home. Also, there were holes in the sheets of the bed and the maid never changed the sheets. I know that because my girlfriend and I were giving each other massages with lemon grass massage oil and it smelled like that the next day. Lastly, the pillows for that room were uncomfortable.

The Hotel was a lovely get away for a few days just my husband and and myself. We enjoyed the walks on the beach after a great meal. We spent sometime in the casino but that not all that we came for. The show that we got to see was Footloose (great). We are planning another trip but this we our going to bring our adult son and girlfriend. The only thing I guess we missed was swimming pool, when I checked out the hotel I thought it had one, but this will not keep us from returning.

The Tropicana is a great hotel. The staff is friendly and accommodating. There is so much to do! There are many choices for restaurants. I went to Carmine's for dinner, which I would highly recommend. Hooter's is also a great place for dinner as well. We went to Adam Good Crabhouse for drinks. They always have great drink specials. We stayed in the Havana Tower. The room had a lovely view. It was also very clean and the room attendees were friendly. I would highly recommend the Tropicana!
