The downstairs is beautiful and clean and the casino employees are personable. However, the rooms are not satisfactory. The shower curtain was so dark that the lack of lighting in the bathroom made it hard to see while taking a shower. I had to disconnect the thick curtain for my shower. The bathrooms need more light and lighter colored fabrics! For a casino, I was amazed at how smelly, dark, and unaccomodating the room was. It had no exhaust in the bathroom, extra towels, or blow dryer. I would absolutely revisit The Tropicana for its awesome entertainment sources and food/beverage selections but not for the overnight stay.

Our overnight trip was very enjoyable. we choose this location for our 15th wedding anniversary get away. We loved the easy check in/out machines! The staff was very helpful and pleasant in helping us locate our room. The room was spacious and clean with a nice view. The french quarter is truely amazing, it is in a world all it's own. We dinned at the irish pub, the service was great,and the food delicious!!! The variety of stores were great, and found great sales along the way. the casino was alot of fun, we even made out well in the $$$ dept. the non smoking sections was a great advantage for those who can do with out it. the cocktail waitress's were very good,they came around often and we enjoyed the complimentary beverages, while we gambled the night away. This hotel was very beautiful, and clean. We will definately will be planning another evening or weekend escape at the Tropicana, we also plan on bringing our teenage daugther at some point this fall. Overall this is one of the best hotels we have stayed at in A.C.! Can't wait to return, and bring our out of state & out of the counrty friends to share in the experience.

I like staying here, but I wish they had more package deals for people that stay there. I know people that got a better deal than I and don't understand. And I would love to stay in the new hotel part but it is over my budget.

Also when I went to cash in my points for the casino I was told I could use them in a certain resteraunt and beyond I couldn't which the casino and the resterants have to be better informed. But the hotel was clean only when you get of the elevator on the floor there is always a weird smell. but then I guess we get used to it...... Thank You

overall, our stay was interupted by the valet and another person wrecking our car 1/2 hour after we got there. we spent our 4 days talking to the valet manager, going to the police station 4 times, talking to the insurance companies, etc...... we were given tickets to a show in the hotel and a comp dinner, but we still had this non-fun feeling about the whole stay. i was upset the whole time and had to do a lot of waiting around to talk to one person or another, thus taking away from my fun family time. we did not enjoy the beaches because there was an awful odor, and the water was very cold. we had to wait almost 6 weeks to get the insurance claim resolved, as the companies could not locate the proper people to talk to. so overall, we did not have a good time thank you. james buchanan

My oldest friend and I stayed for an overnight without the husbands and kids. We had a great, relaxing stay. We had a beautiful room and the hotel itself is very reminiscent of a Vegas hotel. We had a delicious dinner and made our way around for some drinks and a comedy show later that evening. We even got in some dancing at one of the clubs. We are not big gamblers, but we did try our luck at the slots. If we had more time, we would have very much so liked to relax at Blue Mercury. Maybe next time!

The staff is great and very accommidating. Although the casino portion was closed due to the state's budget issues, I had a wonderful time. I've referred several family members and friends since my visit to the atlanticcity.com website. I just returned from a two night stay in AC for my birthday on August 29th and I can't wait to stay again! It's a great get-away if you can't afford an expensive vacation. Sometime I play the slots and sometime I just relax and shop. OH! and eat at the faboulous restaurants both inside the hotels and near the outlet. Now that they have oppened the Pier shops I'm sure I be returning again real soon!

I thought that it was ridiculous that the hotel would not let me reschedule my stay for the same price that I booked it at. They wanted me to pay the extra $100 per room because technically the hotels were still open even though the only reason we were going was to go gambling. To make it worse it was supposed to be a present for my girlfriends 21st birthday. After all that happened my girlfriend says that her 21st birthday was the worst birthday she ever had. Now when we try to schedule another trip there in a few weeks I'm not sure if I want to go to the Tropicana after what happened

I found the Tropicana while searching the Internet for a place to stay in Atlantic. The price, location, and desired rooms were right for me and my budget. When making the reservation the staff was superb and from the time of our arrival until we departed we were treated like royality. My daughter and I needed a break after recently losing my son, her brother and my husband, her father. This get-a-way eased some of our pain, lonesomeness and grief and allowed us to relax and think about happier events. Thank you so very much for the manner in which we were treated and the 5 STAR SUPERB service we received. We will gladly return in the future and have already began recommending your facilities to our family and friends. The attendants in the Casino were courteous, well groomed and responded quickly to our inquiries. The food in the restaurant was delicious and all waiters and staff served us with superb professionalism. I have stayed in other hotel/casinos in Atlantic City and Las Vegas but this was the absolutely best. Thanks again to all of you for making our stay one to remember for years to come.

I liked the hotel as I felt it was not overwhelming.
although the casino is large it was easy to get around. My mother had come in the past before my father passed away last september and I wanted to bring her back. She is 86 years old and enjoys her slot playing. Her only gripe is the fact that the slot machines do not pay off in coins. However our overall experience was very pleasant and I am intending to return again very soon. I would appreciate any discounts that are available to me when booking this hotel. I am looking to come sometime late September or early October.

The service was great especially the valet /parking. Everyone was so courteous and the room was very clean a pleasantly relaxing. I would reccomend the Tropicana highly.
It is close to the beach which is a real plus. Did not have time for the pool but everything else was super.

Especially enjoyed the buffet and several of the other restaurants. Loved being able to just walk out on the board walk at any time.

We will definitely choose this hotel for any future trips to Atlantic City. Loved the casinos and all the different slots and gaming tables. Hope the quality does not ever change.

It was a very nice overnight stay. I will definitely come back again. I prefer the Havana Tower. I enjoyed the restaurants and activities offered. It was a fun atmosphere. I will be back to gamble more! I wish I won more! My last stay was a refreshing well needed overnight break.

Your hotel and casino staff was very courteous and effecient. I would come back again and stay longer.

I plan to come back again to take an older family member on a short stay. I like the easy access to the Boardwalk. She is in a wheelchair and that will be convenient. She is 103!!! She is in very good health though.

Outside hotel pool under construction.....not too happy with this ordeal. The beach had an awful fishy stink to it ...that it was so bad we could not sit on the beach at all. I am aware that there were many storms previous to our visits and that could of been the reasons. The hotel itself was very nice and accommodating for us. Some restuarants you had to wait if you did not have a reservation. suggstion is to make reservations prior. check in time should be a bit earlier than 2:00PM. The automatic checkout centers are wonderful and very quick.

I came to Trpoicana one time and since then I have not been able to stop coming there. I absolutely love everything about the Trop. One time I stayed with a girl friend at Ceaser's and although the hotel was beautiful, I am more comfortable at the trop. I had a great time and I cannot wait to go back again. All the times that I have gone so far, I only stayed one night but next time I want to stay two nights so we can enjoy both the casinos and the room, maybe throughout the day relax and go take a nap rather than having to check out by noon that day. I will be back soon. As busy as you guys are the staff, the food, the pit bosses, everything and everyone was great. The pit boss actually gave us a comp dinner for gambling at the one table so long which he did not have to do. One thing I like about the Trop is that you at least keep $15.00 Black Jack table open for the most part, all the time where ceaser's did not. I do not like the $5, $10, or $25 table but I love the $15.00. I cannot wait to come back soon for two days. See you all then!!!! Sheryl Dammeyer

Casino staff were rude, especially the host when after paying over $300 for a room, and losing $1000, he would not even comp us a dinner or another night in the hotel, nothing at all. Some of the dealers were quite sharp and rude when we were betting. There are also a lot of cigar smokers which made it hard to breathe when betting. We had really bad luck at this casino both times that we played, but I wouldn't review the hotel badly just because of that.

The room was okay but it smelled a little musty and appeared old. The enamel was worn off on the tub and it didn't look very clean but maybe it was just dull from age.

The second time we visited the trop and lost $1700 hundred more between us, they still wouldn't comp us a room after gambling all night. We had to pay $200 to sleep for 5 hours. There was no conditioner in the room, only a cheap shampoo. The host was nice this time though (Steve). The last time, it was an older host with white hair - very rude. Steve did come through with buffet tickets however.
