We were celebrating 34 years of marriage and had a great time. We definitely plan on returning to be able to enjoy more of Atlantic City's offerings which were hampered this time by the weather. The Trump Plaza was the perfect place for us to stay and the room given us was special because by coincidence it was our birthday numbers. The restaurants and casinos were clean and everyone made us feel special without even trying. We are looking forward to returning.

The hotel was very nice as well as the rooms and casino. I went there with two close friends and had a good time but there was a lack of bar/entertainment for a younger crowd. We had to leave the casino and go elsewhere to find a place to party. It was a baccalaureate party and I would never recommend this casino for another group like this. If you are going to gamble the casino is very nice and set up well.

While I did enjoy my stay in Atlantic City, I found it frustrating at not being able to select a restaurant of my choice within the hotel, as many of them were closed. I wound up eating at another nearby hotel.
The casino did not seem to capture my enthusiasm as perhaps other casinos had, and I did not feel drawn to spend time at the casino except to walk through it to get to the parking garage.
There was no effort on the part of the hotel/staff to engage a first-time Atlantic City visitor!

It was clean.
Great security for elevator.Walking distance to the outlet stores.
Went to a show at another hotel but it was the cost that was an issue. Would stay again right off the Atlantic city expressway. The only complaint was the noise coming from the room next to us they were very loud at three in the morning. All in all I would definitely stay again.

This hotel was very clean and the room was comfortable. The food was great at the two establishments that I dined at inside the hotel. Having Starbucks inside the hotel was great with the free wireless connection. I needed the connection for less than an hour and the free service beat paying $13.00 for it in the room. I did not take advantage of the pool, gym or spa. Unfortunately when checking in, I arrived after a trying customer so the staff was distracted when addressing my stay. Two attendees talked about the prior guest while entering my data and taking my charge card. Other than this small distraction, the hotel was nice, the location was great, and I would stay here again.

Requested ocean view and looked at an alley way the first night. We were moved to an ocean view mid-day the following day. Just wasn't as impressed as its built up to be. Was looking for special stay for a 25th Wedding Anniversary! Location was perfect for walking the entire boardwalk several times a day. Staff was helpful. I did like the fact that most of the casinos were non smoking - that alone would have me visit the Trump again.

I received a great rate using the Alanticcity.com website. The hotel would not extended the same savings for my visit. The special rate was only available using Alanticcity.com. The hotel gave us a room with a great view of the ocean. The hotel charges $5.00 for valet parking and $5.00 for self parking. Free valet parking in Las Vegas! Unlike Vegas with half the tv channels in Chinese/Korean, all my channels at Trump were in English.

I had a great time staying at the TPHC. For us it was just that we were looking for a get away not far from home and yet with the feel of away from home. So I would definitely be there again and this time even for a longer stay. I cannot think of anything that went wrong while we were there. In fact it was even better than what we thought it would be. I really enjoyed my stay here and I will absolutely consider staying here again. The room had a beautiful view of the boardwalk, beach and ocean. If you do decide to stay definitely consider a ocean side view. The room was clean and smelled wonderful. I even decide to take a smoking room for the fist time because I was concerned that the room would smell horrible when I opened the door. When I opened the door I was shocked I couldn't even tell that this was a smoking room. That's how clean it was. I cant wait to go back. I was sad I had to go.

Third World hotel located in AC. Belongs more in the economy section of a town like Branson, MI. Complete letdown ad disappointment from a property bearing the Trump name. Felt like I was in a Motel 6. The rooms are smelly and old. Have a very cheesy 80's feel to them. Save your time & money. Go to Harrah's or MGM or Caesars. If you think you are getting a quality, classy hotel worthy of the Trump name, you are in for a shock!

Trump Plaza promises luxury and glamor, and charges for it. They deliver a reasonable accommodation with some nice touches and some drawbacks, which is my experience generally with the boardwalk casino hotels.

I stayed in the east tower, in a room facing the ocean. The floor-to-ceiling window provided an awesome ocean view, if compromised by the dead moth on the outside of the window and by the all-night mega sign from the Caesar's shopping pier roof blasting light into my room. Drawn curtains solved the light problem, but couldn't fix the thin-wall problem that kept me awake most of the night when I had loud neighbors.

The furniture was solid and substantial (hence my heavy lamps title), but stylishly unremarkable. Towels were lush, but the bathtub was narrow and I had to keep the shower curtain outside the tub to keep from getting wrapped up in it. Room service and hotel restaurants provided mediocre to good food.

When I was there in late September 2009, the Trump hotel and casino crowd were mostly retired folks from surrounding states and tourists from Asia. The casino was unremarkable. Directional signage was poor. Staff was pleasant and usually tried to be helpful, though they couldn't give directions to save their lives. Once I was lost in the middle of the casino, and I asked a floor manager how to get to one of their restaurants. She responded, "Oh, you have to go to the front!" and then promptly walked away.

The Trump Plaza is at a good location if you want to be near the Convention Hall, the shopping mall pier, and the Tropicana and Caesar's casinos. There's a more pre-gambling era feel to the boardwalk up north past Bally's--if you prefer that neighborhood, stay at one of the casino hotels or off-boardwalk places north of Bally's.

The main reason this hotel was selected was due to the indoor pool. When attempting to take the children to the pool we were notified that no one under 17 years old was allowed to use the pool. One of the children was 16 and has been a licensed jr lifeguard for 5 years the other 13 has been on a school swim team for 3 years, yet they are unable to use the swimming pool even if accompanied by and adult. Why offer a pool to a family when it is only available to adults?

Disappointed in lack of free internet service to pay $12.95 per day for internet given price of room was a disappointment.
Access to boardwalk and beach was great! Just walk out the door!
Free breakfast was included at last minute for one day, but was very good! Generous portions as well.
Access to most Casinos was within walking distance, decor and variety were superb!
All hotel staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful!

All-in-all very nice time!

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at Trump Plaza. I noticed by waiting until late September and going on a Sunday/Monday vs. Friday/Saturday, that it wasn't as crowded. This included the boardwalk, restaurants and casinos. The housekeeping and restaurant efficiency were quite impressive. The only negatives were 1) it was freezing in the casino and 2) the Wizard of Oz machines all had the same problem with them as my visit in August - one had no sound, the second's repeat button didn't work, and the third's screen would black out constantly out of the blue. Of course, it would always be a plus if I could walk away with a big win once in awhile - just a few hundred would be nice!
