This was my first time there, but the others I was traveled with had eaten there before. I loved it!! It was a bit pricey, but the portions were huge and could feed 5 adults on one entrée. They served you family style and it was more food than we could all eat. The dipping sauce and bread they gave you before dinner was mouth watering! Service was slow, but you didn't mind it, because it gave you a chance to let you food digest so you could eat more! We waited about 30 min. because we had no reservations.

This restaurant was EXCELLENT! The atmosphere was calming and very nicely decorated. The staff was extremely nice and helpful. The service was fast and the food was delicious! We really liked the family style platers. There were 4 people in our party and we ordered 1 appetizer and 2 dishes which all 4 of us shared and were full. the amount of food given is enormous! This restaurant is highly recommended by my family and I!

We didn't know the food concept at Carmines. If we had known about the family dishes we might not have gone there. The food was excellent, but too much for two people. The dishes were also a little expensive, but I guess they had to charge that much to pay for the large plates of food.

My Review
This restaurant was recommended to me and did not disappoint me or anyone in my party. The food is excellent exceeded only by the friendly service provided by all who worked there. You are encouraged to share your dishes with others at your table and it was explained why when our orders were taken. Any of the dishes ordered will feed at least 2 people and the same can be said of the generous salads. My wife and I shared one Chicken dish and a salad for a very reasonable combined total of $54 (not including tax & gratuity). This restaurant should be a definite stop for dinner while in Atlantic City.

A friend treated me to this awesome restaurant. The food is served family style so when you order, not everyone is ordering something!!!! Trust me, you would have way too much food. We ordered a salad and entre and there was plenty for us and another couple! The quality of the food was superb. The waiter was excellent and made sure we were happy and had everything we needed. I'd love to go back to this restaurant!!!!
